Day of the race

The day of the race is more important than the race itself. Everything you do before the race will decide if you’re ready or not for the race later on during the day. You start off by waking up and having a nice healthy breakfast. Most people who race motocross like to have a protein shake when they wake up and also fry up some bacon and eggs so you have enough protein for the day. After you eat breakfast normally you will do a little workout to wake your body up and have it ready for the race later on that day. You don’t want to go super crazy because you want to keep your body fresh for the race but you want to make sure that you're loose and ready to go through anything. After you get a nice workout you want to make sure you have enough rest for the race so most racers will take a 2-3 hours nap. After you wake up from your nap you should most definitely have a nice high protein meal to give your body the good nutrients that it needs to perform to the highest it can go. You need to get your legs stretched because believe it or not your legs are the most important part of your body when riding a dirt bike. You have to squeeze the bike with your legs for the whole race so the bike doesn't get away from you. Most motocross racers will work out their forearms and wrists 15-20 minutes before the race starts because there is a thing called arm pump and it happens when you have to grip your bike really hard. If you make sure your forearms and wrists are nice and loose and strong you shouldn’t have a problem with the arm pump.
