dirt bike prep

Taking care of a dirt bike is a lot more work than taking care of a car. You have to change the oil after every 5 hours instead of every 5000km with a car. The air filter has to be cleaned after every time you have a race so that your bike is running as well as possible. You will run through a chain and sprocket about every 10 hours and that costs about 100$. If you are very serious about dirt bike racing you will change the piston in your motor after every 20-30 hours of the bike running. Keeping your bike up and running as well as possible can cost a lot of money and also  a lot of time. You have to make sure you wash your bike so you keep the plastics and frame and motor clean and so that you keep them in good condition. Washing a dirt bike can take up to 2 hours to make sure that everything is clean and ready to go for the next time you ride. It takes a lot of time and money to keep a dirt bike up and going. You have to use 91 octane fuel or racing fuel to make sure your bike is getting the best of the best fuel and that costs a lot of money. 90% of the time that you ride your dirt bike something will break on it so you need to have extra parts ready for when the unfortunate things like that happen.
